All AeroSky data is hosted 100% within India.

Information We Collect

•Contact Information: Name, email address, company name when you submit our contact form
•Technical Information: IP address, browser type, device information for security and analytics
•Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, and interaction patterns to improve our AeroSky services
•ADS-B Receiver Data: Signal data collected from community-powered ADS-B receivers participating in the AeroSky network, including aircraft transponder signals, receiver location, and receiver telemetry (uptime, signal strength, message rates)
•Flight Tracking Data: Aircraft position data, flight status, delay metrics, route information, and airspace analytics processed by the AeroSky platform
•ADS-B Network Participant Data: Account information (name, email, location) for users who register to host ADS-B receivers as part of the AeroSky community network

•ADS-B network participant accounts: Retained for the duration of active participation and up to 1 year after account deactivation
•ADS-B receiver and flight tracking data: Aggregated and anonymized data retained for AeroSky analytics; raw data retained as necessary for service operation
•Email communications: Retained as long as necessary for business purposes
•Analytics data: Anonymized and retained for statistical analysis
•We regularly review and delete data that is no longer necessary

AeroSky ADS-B Network Data

ADS-B Data Collection

AeroSky operates a community-powered ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast) receiver network across India. ADS-B receivers hosted by community participants collect publicly broadcast aircraft transponder signals from the surrounding airspace.

Data Collected from ADS-B Receivers:

Aircraft position, altitude, speed, and heading from ADS-B transponder broadcasts
Aircraft identification (ICAO hex code, callsign, flight number)
Receiver telemetry: uptime, signal strength, message rates, and coverage statistics
Receiver location (as provided by the participant during setup)

Flight Tracking Data Processing

AeroSky processes ADS-B data to provide flight tracking, delay prediction, route analytics, and airport congestion insights. This processing includes:

Aggregating flight position data to generate live flight tracks and historical route analytics
Computing delay predictions and on-time performance metrics based on historical and real-time data
Generating airport congestion and airspace utilization analytics
All flight tracking data is processed and stored on servers hosted within India

ADS-B Network Participant Data

If you register to host an ADS-B receiver as part of the AeroSky community network, we collect and process the following:

Account information: Name, email address, and contact details
Receiver location: City, state, and approximate coordinates for coverage mapping
Receiver performance data: Uptime, data quality metrics, and contribution statistics
Communication preferences for network updates and community notifications

You may deactivate your ADS-B network participation at any time by contacting us. Upon deactivation, your personal account data will be deleted within the retention period specified in our Data Retention section.
